The breakfast was delicious and sensational. We really enjoyed the garden where breakfast was served. - the staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive. - the hotel had a secluded setting by the river on a sunny day. - It was close enough to the garden, the wonderful Malvern Hills, and Malvern town centre.

The matress was lumpy. The ensuite needs updating to provide proper showering facilities. The room needs attention to peeling wallpaper. Lack of disabled facilities.

A Two Star hotel in a nice quite location, good breakfast.

Quiet and peaceful friendly relaxed

The scenery,walks etc were lovely and very near to some lovely market towns.Lots to do.The hotel food was way above average

The rooms are amazing and cozy with lovely views of the garden during the fall, and the staff here are friendly and helpful.

The hotel has quite a long drive leading to it and this takes you away from the noise of the busy roads. The grounds are extensive with a number of seats where you can relax with a drink or just chill out after being in crowds of people. The hotel owners are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them in order that you enjoy your stay. We relaxed as soon as we arrived and our room was clean and very comfortable. It was also quite cool with windows that you could open and that you could leave open even when out. The current owners took over the hotel in Nov 11 and have done a huge amount of up-dating since their arrival. The dining room overlooks the front gardens with pleasant relaxing views. We found the dining chairs comfortable so you could enjoy your meal without feeling any discomfort. There is also a very nice lounge for after dinner coffee and a further conservatory/sitting area at the front of the hotel. The food was first class and for wine,you a have choice from a extensive wine list at reasonable prices. We will stay at this hotel again when next in the Malvern area.

Second visit in 2 years. Both times celebrating anniversaries. Quiet, peaceful location, quaint old cottage hotel (low ceilings and creaky floors) with loads of character. Very friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable rooms. Nice grounds. Excellent menu and food quality. Good service.

Comfortable room, Good Breakfast and evening dining a bit special

Holdfast is a rural gem. The family run hotel has been in current ownership since Nov 2011 and very effort is being made to make it a success. Situated at the end of its own drive and surrounded by lovely gardens it is a real retreat. I was only one night and didnt eat at the hotel but I will guess that the restaurant is of a similiarly high standard to everything else and next time I am in Malvern I will both stay and eat at the hotel. A very convivial cosy bar.

One of the rooms doesnt have a shower just a bath. If it matters make sure you ask.
